JB’s Wear

Brief

TSCO’s Johnny Bobbin business provides retail stores with a large range of apparel including work wear, corporate wear, sporting and safety gear. Having experienced difficulty with previous digital providers, TSCO selected Alaress as their digital agency to produce a new JBs wear website back in 2007. Since then we’ve rebuilt their website, launching v.2 in July 2011.

Solution

JBs wear needed to better support customers browsing their extensive product range. We reviewed their web stats over the last four years to identify which pages and functionality were experiencing the most traffic.
We coupled this research with their amended business requirements to rebuild JBs wear with a full-screen focus, creating a modern web application for easy product browsing. We built the new site on our custom built content management system (CMS) and kept the Flash flipping book catalogue to view their regular printed product catalogue, which was from the initial 2007 project. The Flash catalogue was integrated into the CMS for easy management of updates and changes by TSCO. The new site is now focused to full screen, which provides more impact for products and caters to users screens large or small.

Results

Alaress met the challenge of bringing together a complex product database that included a large amount of data and a high capacity images. Alaress technical capability and understanding helped us to reduce the ongoing bandwidth requirements that this website demanded to provide hi-resolution digital images for download. The outcome is an easy and user friendly experience for JB’s Wear customers that results in sales.
